Ground breaking news!!! A yellow dwarf star named Kepler-11 located 2,000 light years away from Earth has just been found to have 6 planets orbiting it. It is the first star discovered thus far to host more than 3 planets. The planets are also relatively large, the smaller ones equivalent to the size of Uranus or Neptune in our Solar System and approximately 10 times the mass of Earth. The other unexpected and interesting feature of this new planetary system is the fact that the planets all orbit very close to their star. Five out of the six orbit at a distance less than the distance Mercury is from our Sun.
